It’s natural to have some questions, and our team will be only to happy to talk to you about our facilities and services over email, telephone or in-person for a studio tour. In the meantime, we’ve answered some of the most common questions we’re asked below.

Where is Midland Road Studios located?

Midland Road Studios is in the centre of Worcester in the West Midlands. We are 10 minute drive from the M5 (J6 or J7) and short walk from Worcester Shrub Hill Station which has direct trains to London, Birmingham, Oxford and Bristol. The studio are located on the Ground Floor of Progress House a large, brick built building which offers fantastic accoustic insulation agains any outside noise.

Is it easy to find parking near to Midland Road Studios?

We have a large, dedicated carpark at the front of our building that has 40+ free parking spaces. All of our guests are welcome to use the parking facilities so you won’t need to worry about finding off-site parking.

Can I dry hire Midland Road Studios and bring my own creative team?

We do offer our studio space for dry hire on a per-request basis. You can bring your own equipment or hire ours and we can help you manage furniture hire and set design if you wish. Your first hire with us will include booking our Studio Manager for the day, just to make sure your experience runs smoothly.

Is Midland Road Studios equipped to produce live broadcasts?

Midland Road Studios has been designed to offer a premium broadcast service. The studios are acoustically treated and have installed LED lighting and lighting desk included as standard. Studio One is linked to our Broadcast Studio which is the control centre from where your event producer and showcaller will deliver your broadcast to a global audience.

What happens if there is a power cut during my broadcast?

In the unlikely event of a power cut all essential equipment is supported by UPS to ensure your stream is unaffected. The studio lighting and secondary electronics are supported by dedicated diesel generator which can support the studio operating at full power for more than 4 days.

How big is your studio?

Studio One has a ceiling height of over 3 metres and over 100m2 of floor space, which includes two separate stage options depending on whether you utilise our 6m x 3m LED video wall or not. In addition to the stage space, the studio fits 3x broadcast cameras as standard as well as the lighting desk, comfort monitors and an off camera seating area for presenters while they wait there turn on camera.

Can Midland Road Studio accommodate live events that fall out of normal business hours?

While our normal office hours are 08:30 – 17:30 (UK Time) for enquiries, our team is able to support events around the clock. Our studio can be open during the weekend and evenings by arrangement and our production and creative teams will support your event – no matter what time zone you’re operating in.

Can you provide post-production services?

Our creative team can provide any number of post-production services to help you fine tune your video. We can manage the full editing process and produce motion graphics or 3D animations to add further interest to your video.

If you have an editor who wants to review the footage on the day, then we can provide a private edit suite that they can use. Alternatively we can process the footage and forward on to your editing team remotely.

Can you help me to create motion graphics for my video?

We have an in-house team of graphic designers, 3D artists and editors proficient in Aftereffects which let us produce original and engaging motion graphics for use in video production or for live broadcasts.

Can you provide an autocue or teleprompter?

As standard the studio is equipped with an autocue as well as two large comfort monitors to make it easy for presenters to speak effortlessly to camera. For live events we are able to offer a professional, manned teleprompt service.

Can you support us with a multi-lingual project?

Midland Road Studios is part of the Marketing + Technologies Group of companies, which includes Midland Technical Translations. You project manager can cordinate a multi-lingual distribution of pre-recorded videos using either subtitles or professionally recorded voiceovers. We can also support live interpretation for live digital events into any language you might need.
